A 3-Day Training Program on Missions, Evangelism And Discipleship
INTRODUCTION
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” – Matthew 9: 37, 38
Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. John 4:35
The state of the harvest of the nations has always been a deep concern for our Lord Jesus Christ. In all the instances of his mention of the harvest, they were all lamentations of the enormity of the harvest and scarcity of harvesters who are willing and equipped to harvest the nations.
When Jesus went to the cross, he technically and legally secured the redemption of all humanity through His blood but he committed the experiential reality of this for humanity to the hands of the Church – his redeemed people. More than two millennia after this commission, billions are yet to have the experience of Calvary.
In as much as many believers are convinced that missions and evangelism is the supreme task of the church, several churches and individuals feel ill equipped to carry out this task effectively. The TRAINING FOR HARVEST is an equipping and empowering training in evangelism, missions and discipleship for churches, missions and evangelism groups. The aim is to prepare and equip Christians for soul winning and discipleship both in their immediate context and cross cultural context. The training consists of plenary sessions, group consultations and video sessions.
It also helps participants to develop strategies of Gospel engagement from their Jerusalem to the ends of the earth.
With over 5 billion souls that have not yet submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and over 3 billion of them who have not heard or understood the work of Jesus for them at Calvary, we release this training with the deep burden that the statistics will change through everyone who passes through this training. Amen.
Yours for the Harvest of the Nations,
Omega Centre for World Missions
